This is a Word a Day to increase pupils’ vocabulary, using relevant pictures, definitions and synonyms. These are picture words, enough for a Word a Day for an entire school year! It is an easy and effective way to boost a school’s vocabulary. Aimed at KS3, KS4, KS5 or the vocabulary could provide some upper KS2 extension. This resource could have a powerful impact on an entire school’s vocabulary acquisition, if the word a day pictures are added to newsletters or lessons. I’ve made two small free Word a Day resources available to demonstrate how useful the resource can be, so you can try those out in a classroom.
